Loreley is an Undine spirit who sits on a rock in the River Rhine, combing her hair with a golden comb and singing a mesmerizing melody.  Loreley’s song seduces sailors, who look around trying to see where this melody comes from, not noticing the rocks and cliffs nearby and eventually drowning with their ships.
